Growing Instructions for the American Beauty Series

American Beauty will flower naturally in December, but will need glasshouse cultivation. It can either be planted and grown in a glasshouse, or grown in pots and moved into a glasshouse in the autumn, before any frosts. The young plants should be potted on twice, with the final pot size being 23 - 25cms (8" - 9"). Use a good quality potting compost, such as John Innes No. 3, and feed weekly with a liquid fertilizer, following the manufacturer’s recommendations. Water moderately, keeping the compost just moist, at all times. Pinch out 14 days after planting and allow 2 or 3 breaks to develop. Remove side buds as they develop and stake as necessary. Keep the glasshouse well ventilated, but do not allow the night temperature to drop below 10°C. (50°F.)
