These sections contain a selection of exhibition varieties, but don't be put off by the name. These can all be grown just for you to enjoy in your own garden. For growing advice follow sections 2 or 3 by clicking
here. Alternatively, grow them in pots, following the instructions for
American Beauty.
The codes after the variety name refer to the Chrysanthemum classification system, a full explanation can be found
here.
If you do grow some good blooms, why not have a go at showing them at your local Horticultural Society? Many of these small shows are crying out for new people to support them and you will find that existing members are very friendly and welcoming towards new exhibitors. One of our customers exhibited some blooms of the Misty series, from plants that he bought from us at Southport Flower Show, and won two First prizes, a Second prize and the Trophy for Best Exhibit in the Novice Section.
If you are interested there is also the National Chrysanthemum Society. They have a very informative website and membership is available at a reasonable price. Click
